What is Hydrophilic Aluminum Foil ?
Hydrophilic aluminum foil is the aluminum foil for hydrophilic treatment, through special process treatment, on its surface coated with a layer of hydrophilic layer, condensate in the hydrophilic aluminum foil will quickly disperse, will not condense into water beads, increase the heat exchange area, speed up the cooling and heating speed, but also effectively avoid the noise caused by condensation water obstructing air flow.
Classification of aluminum foil in YUQI Metal according to the thickness difference
Aluminum foil can be divided into thick foil, single zero foil and double zero foil according to the thickness difference.
Alloy | Temper |
1030B/1070/1070A/1050/1060/1235/1100/3003/8011/8079 | O/H14/H18/H19/H22/H24/H26 |
The foil is pliable, and can be readily bent or wrapped around objects. Thin foils are fragile and are sometimes laminated with other materials such as plastics or paper to make them stronger and more useful.

Main treatment methods
Single coating single drying method and double coating double drying method.
The single coating single baking method is to degrease the aluminum foil, and then chemically oxidize it to form a chemical conversion film on the surface of the aluminum foil, and finally paint a hydrophilic coating. The process is simple and the cost is low.
Hydrophilic aluminum foil production process
Uncoiling → pretreatment → surface roll coating (first roll coating → first drying → second roll coating → second drying) → coiling
The function of pretreatment: mainly to enhance the binding force of coating and aluminum foil.
The function of the coating: the coating plays a role in increasing the hydrophilicity and corrosion resistance of the product.
For products with high performance requirements, the primary coating does not reach the desired index, and a secondary coating is required. Generally speaking, single-coated products have hydrophilic function and corrosion resistance in a coating. For double-coated products, the first coating has a corrosion resistance effect, and the second coating has a hydrophilic effect.
Approximately 75% of aluminium foil is used for packaging of foods, cosmetics, and chemical products, and 25% is used for industrial applications (e.g., thermal insulation, electrical cables, and electronics).
